This chart, or similar, has been circulating since the 2016 election. The problem is, it needs a third axis for ownership. Cuz billionaires gonna billionaire which means they will eventually want things their own way. As we've just learned.
Odd that neither The Guardian or The Atlantic are on the graphic. If they are, I couldn’t find them. And Breitbart should be much further right and down. Agree about ownership. Should have Sinclair, Nexstar, etc, not just ABC, NBC, and so on.
The Atlantic might not qualify as a news magazine because it doesn't cover daily news. That's just a guess. And guardian, because it's nonprofit and/it isn't us based?
ProPublica doesn’t cover daily news either. Does The New Republic? — I subscribe to The Atlantic (cancelled NYT), and they do cover “daily” news, just not breaking-every-five-minutes news.
